State of the Network. The cloud is expanding.

The guys over at Network Instruments have done their annual State of the Network study. Nothing surprising, but some interesting stats.

The study show increases in virtualization — 75% of the respondents now use virtualization, and by 2011, 60% of applications are expected to be running on virtual machines, up from 27% this year. VOIP is also proceeding at a strong pace.

Virtualization = Cloud ?

You can find the study here.
